Civil wars

Sure civil wars do take place elsewhere, but no other land can claim a civil war or two per generation. There are even accounts of civil wars that predate the "modern" man, when the sheep and goats locked horns over a watering hole in the Southern Metn region. The war occured shortly after the discovery of fire which led to the second most important discovery in history: Barbecue. Homo Cheframzien then became the first registered case of obesity.

Then came man and his wars. First war on record was between the clockwise and anti-clockwise dabke dancers. As all subsquent wars, there were no winners in this conflict. Both camps held ground with boots firmly in place and signed the first national reconcilaition under the auspices of the Roman Caracalla family which then privatized and monopolized dabke for eterntiy.

With the arrival of God, civil wars became just too easy as you no longer needed to find a reason to fight as God will always be on your side. The rest is history.

With that said, I promise you there will not be a civil war this time around. If I'm wrong you can shoot me.

Jamal,
to have a civil war in Liban, you (unfortunately) need the outside factors to be in favor of such war, which is NOT the case nowadays, so your promise is a sure thing.

But what is worse than the actual civil war, is the hate and anger that is spreading like fire among Lebanese. Stupid meaningless actions by the curent political leaders are just pouring oil over the aches of the old ugly days.

While everybody agrees that civil war is unlikely to happen, but the hate that you can see in Lebanese eyes are unbearable....the memories that we once thought will never come back are just becoming more and more an awful reality that we can't escape from.

The city that never sleeps, Beirut, is falling into weird deep silence. We are killing the Lebanese spirit, and while the whole world was giving us a hand to get up on our feet, we are too busy knocking eachother off his/her feet.

Meaningless stupid actions....these are the main reasons...... Leave God alone....God has left the building the first second we started fighting in his name.....

Failasoof, oh please stop romanticizing Liban, lebanese fight with inside factors, outside factors, and offside factors. it's the culture people are brought up in.

Occupation- dude get a life, you live in DC it's a nice town. go out more often. or do AIPAC interns not get paid?

oh how i wish you are right.
but it seems all the ingredients of civil war are there: no national identity, so much hatred and anger among the different tribes (yes, we are no more than a tribal society), weapons in everyone's hand, and some internal players pushing for it day and night.

What is "Occupation" said...

jamal..

I live in ohio...

I aint an aipac intern, however I do know several and yes they are paid, I do everything I do for free...

call it payback for islamic discrimination. After all remember there were jews in the middle east long before the fake people "palestine" were invented by the egyptian arafat and those 500,000 have been ethnically cleansed from the middle east...

and as for the post you deleted...

is it a "civil war" when iran / syria are funding and supplying cash and arms?

I think not, if you dont think hezbollah is goosestepping in lockstep with iran's DIRECTIONS you are not seeing the complete picture.

Iran will fight to the last lebonese standing... and could give a hoot how much blood is spilled..

I seem to recall the history of Lebanon USED to be a majority Christian...

now a shrinking minority....

hey, just like the jews of the arab world...

2nd class citizens all the way! Let's raise a toast to dhimmi's!

as for your "shoot me" comment, you still dont get it? the big bad israeli's dont want you dead, they want you to be prosperous and peaceful and not allow a HA to stock 12,000 impodent terror rockets on the border
