Arabic Poetry

I don't have much time, but I feel a strong need to share this magnificent poem with those who haven't had the privilege to hear it. It left me stunned, searching for thoughts, and re-examining my life.

I heard it once so I didn't get a chance to capture it fully. Also, since the English language is not as rich as the Arabic one, I can not do it justice in translation, but it goes something like that:

Look at the Wawa, See the Wawa, Kiss the Wawa, Sahh!
Saw the Wawa, Kissed the Wawa, The Wawa is gone, Bahh!
- Haifa Wehbe

Very funny, but you know, the other day I was listening to Arabic music and I really liked a song, when I went to the TV to see who is singing it, it turned out to be Haifa! I had no idea that I liked her. Either she grew on me or I do like her!!!!

I knew I shouldn't trust the title ;)

thank you oh thank you for writing that. It brought me out of the stupor caused by the utter talent and genius of both her voice and the writer of aforementioned song. I wish it was aimed at 4 yr olds, now that wouldve made sense. But no. Her tits are still pretty darned interesting still, right?

Wawa means pain in children's (2-4 yrs old)language. I doubt this will help u make sense of these lines anyway.

Cheers

for those who want to know what the song is about " i was told that Haifa lost her daughter to a pretty messy divorce a few years back she hasnt seen her daughter since the kid was 1 i beleive that her daughter is about seven know and the song is a tribute to the times through out her daughters childhood that Haifa was not able to be there for."
